Studio paus is looking for warriors who are looking for a vibrant flexi- or student job!

We need extra helping hands.

Souls with fire in their hearts and peace in their gaze.

We are looking for people who are ready (1 x a week to 1 x a month) to support our store and help it flourish. We are still looking for some companions along the route.

Who we are

Welcome to Zuidstationstraat in Ghent: a place where beauty, softness, quality and connection come together. Studio paus collects beautiful things that are kind to the world we share: with an eye for sustainability, an offer straight from the heart, a collection chosen with care. Our universe has been around for six years now.

Mélanie eats letters and breathes language. She loves nothing more than creating (chaos), developing new ideas, making connections and ensuring that everything in front of the screens reflects who we are and what we stand for.

Thanks to warrior Ellen, the store is running at full speed, even when I'm not there. Every now and then our favorite flexis step in to ensure that our warm fortress holds out, even on the busiest days.

Our customers (or are they warriors of small romance?) look for – and find – gifts with meaning from us: for everyone they love, especially and perhaps even especially for themselves.

With us, every object tells a story and every visit becomes a break.

Who we are looking for

One hands-on warrior. Someone we can count on.

You are not one for waiting, but for seeing, tackling and solving. You like pace and initiative.

The store feels safe in your hands and customers feel helped - not soothed, but really seen. You feel what a customer needs, sometimes even before they know it themselves.

You work with verve, but listen softly.

You have enough pepper in your poop to radiate peace even during busy moments.

You know that the store may be buzzing, but preferably never boiling over: you help to carry the atmosphere.

You communicate clearly and enjoy a well-filled day. Bee studio paus there is always something to do!

Your duties include: ensuring that the store remains spic and span (including our kitchen and stock areas at the back), greeting customers and helping them where necessary, packing the most beautiful postal packages for our webshop, carefully unpacking and processing the sweetest deliveries, ...

About studio paus

As time flies, we float through life more slowly and intensely. Listen to the music before it starts, shuffle softly through the kitchen together and keep swaying long after the song stops. Drink hot coffee from the most beautiful ceramics and choose clothes that celebrate your body. Get lost in stories until you find the child within yourself. Draw the golden edges yourself and embrace what is frayed. Stay curious, be surprised. Fall in love with the beauty of the everyday and make enjoyment your main job with us.

Aster and Ramesses. Our unique sons with identical genes. The boys for whom growing came with challenges from the womb. In recent years they have invited us to pause, to look back, around and forward. By sharing their bumpy story, we stayed connected to the outside world and realized step by step that our future would be one of entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship as in: consciously choosing to follow our passions and to surround ourselves with those who inspire and stimulate us. Day by day we are building our own little universe: online (via Instagram, Facebook, website and webshop) and more and more offline. studio paus wants to be present on the big and small(er) days of those who choose us: in the form of written or spoken word (as a copywriter or ceremony speaker, for example), of images (as a photographer) and of a webshop (clothing and gifts for everyone you love, including yourself).

Mélanie eats letters and breathes language: "I tell stories with pen and voice and have been a writer and copywriter for more than ten years. I now professionally combine that written language with spoken language: for four years I have lovingly lent my voice to personal and refreshing wedding and farewell ceremonies."

As a photographer, Niels searches for the essence: he works intuitively and thoughtfully at the same time. Think of his images as snapshots that capture who you are and show the love you share. In times of intense happiness, but also in moments of sharp sadness. For him, photography is about connection. Connection as the beginning and end of his images. If you choose him as your photographer, you cherish spontaneity. You appreciate the greatness of the small and the beauty of the imperfect.
