Services
We need your data to provide our services. For example, if you place an order in our webshop, we need to know to which address and under what name we can ship that product.
Competitions and promotions
studio – Pope stands for standing still, but also for taking care. For yourself and for others. That's why we love to pamper you, our fans. One way to do this, for example, is to organize a competition. Of course, we also need certain information from you for this.
Statistics
The goal of studio - Pope is to introduce you to the small universe of stories in words and images that we create together. You can do this by following us via blog posts and social media, but also via our webshop we give you the opportunity to take a bit of pope - break - rest into your home. In order to take your wishes and needs into account in the offers on our website and our webshop, it is interesting to take a closer look at our own operations. We need data for that. For example, we can see which services are interesting and useful for our website visitors, which stories you prefer to read and which products perform best in the webshop.
Keeping you informed
You can register for our newsletter on our site. Those who register share personal information, but in return will be the first to be informed about important news, fun stories, new products or fun promotions.
Comments
In the comments field at the end of each blog post or when reviewing products, you can express an opinion or share an experience. For security reasons, we need to be able to check whether comments are not spam and it is also nice if opinions can be given a name. That makes the interaction that little bit more real and personal.
Detect and investigate abuse
You may have experienced it yourself. A strange email with an incredible offer reaches your mailbox or worse, a fraudulent email is sent to your contacts in your name. We prefer to trust everyone without hesitation, but we must be realistic and prevent abuse from taking place on our platform. That is why our website (automatically) checks a number of variables to detect spam.
We can divide the collected data into two groups.
Firstly, it concerns identification data: your name, your e-mail address, your postal address, etc. Information that you provide to us yourself when, for example, you place an order or leave a comment.
Secondly, it concerns data about the use of our services: mouse clicks, pages visited, your IP address, the operating system you use to surf, how you arrive at our website, etc. To collect this type of information, the programs in the backend of our website use so-called cookies. Cookies are mini files that are placed on the hard drive of your computer and allow us to better tailor the site to the surfing behavior of returning visitors. When you first visit our website, you will receive a pop-up window in which you accept or refuse the collection of cookies. Afterwards you can always change the settings in your browser yourself.
When you visit our website, you agree to the data collection as described above.
The team members of studio paus have access to your data. As mentioned earlier, your data will only be used in specific cases and when deemed necessary to provide you with our services in an optimal manner. There are a number of categories of third parties to which we can pass on your data:
- Service providers: we pass on your data to service providers that we have to rely on ourselves. For example, if you place an order on our website, we use a service provider for payment transactions. We chose the online payment platform Shopify Payments. They collect the data necessary to successfully complete your payment transaction on our website. You can find their privacy statement here link. Other service providers we have to rely on are the logistics partners. To ship your orders, we chose to work with the shipping platform Sendcloud, which conveniently bundles a number of logistics partners for us. You can find their privacy statement here. These types of service providers only have access to certain data and information that are part of their assignment.
- Social media providers: On our website we sometimes refer to social media such as Instagram and Facebook. The specific buttons that refer to these social networking sites are managed by those social media themselves. This means that we do not have complete control over the way they handle your click-through. For example, they may use certain cookies. If you have any additional questions about this, it is useful to consult the cookie and privacy policies of the respective social networking sites (Facebook, Instagram).
- Partners: studio paus strongly believes in the added value of collaborations. To realize such collaborations, it is sometimes necessary to share certain data with the partners (for example if they are directly responsible for shipping the products they make).
- Governments and authorities: only when we are legally obliged will we pass on your data to governments and authorities.
