Bud - about a small plant that wants to grow up quickly

A beautiful picture book about growing up, for impatient children. 

Bud is a young plant that can't wait to grow up. In the English garden where she grows up, all the flowers are fully bloomed. The rose bushes laugh at her, the forget-me-nots pretend she doesn't exist and the violets tease her. What a small, insignificant thing she is.

The bud doesn't give up: she waters herself, covers herself with leaves from other plants and looks for better soil. She begs the sun 'Let me shine!' But nothing happens at all.
When the moon is high in the sky, Button cries. Until she feels something she never felt before.
