Handmade toothbrush

Finished in a classic tortoiseshell motif, hand-polished and carefully designed, this handmade toothbrush is a piece to cherish.

This toothbrush is handmade in Italy, a collaboration between Laro and the traditional design house Koh-I-Noor. 

The handle is made from Mazzucchelli's M49 Bioplastic, a material derived from cellulose acetate and plant-based plasticizers, created to combine the beauty and quality of acetate with a smaller environmental footprint. M49 is biobased and biodegradable and replaces fossil raw materials with renewable raw materials: pure craftsmanship. 

The precisely designed head provides gentle yet effective cleaning, supporting gum health and the oral microbiome. By choosing natural bristles made from animal hair, we return to our roots: to a time when materials were chosen for their honesty and softness. The result is a toothbrush that cleans effectively while keeping the enamel intact.

Most toothbrushes are still made of disposable plastic (the brush and/or the bristles). By choosing M49 Bioplastic, Laro embraces a circular approach with this toothbrush: a design that feels luxurious, but is well thought out in its origins. It is an object made as a beautiful addition to your daily ritual.
