Kindness cards - tool to help you find compassion and empathy

These cards are designed to bring out our better natures. They present us with a series of thoughts that feed our sympathy, our compassion, and our hunger for forgiveness. They bring us back to who we always want to be and already are deep down: nice people.

Example cards:

• The kind person gives generously based on the feeling that he or she will also need kindness. Not now, not about this, but in another area. They know that self-righteousness is merely the result of a faulty memory: an inability, in moments when they are truly good and completely right, to remember how many times they have been deeply and definitively wrong.

• A fundamental path to remaining kind to people is the strength, even in very challenging situations, to maintain a distinction between what one is doing and what one intended to do.
  
  
• The modern world is very uncomfortable with the idea of ​​a good person not succeeding. We would rather say they were bad than embrace a much more disturbing and less publicized idea: that the world is very unfair. Kind people always keep the idea of ​​injustice in mind.

How to use the cards

• Randomly read through the cards to summon your better self, always lurking in the wings.
• Keep one on hand, on a desk or in the refrigerator, as a constant reminder to be kind.
• Give one to a friend or loved one to thank them for their kindness (or to gently remind them to do so).

With illustrations by Erin Campbell, the design emphasizes the virtue of all things soft and warm. Colored with shades of peach, lilac and cornflower blue, they give confidence and prestige to the kinder, gentler sides of ourselves.
