Cockroach: Puzzle workout

Summer is coming again and many people are reluctantly heading to the gym. Sprinting on the treadmill, endless laps in the pool or perhaps just an extra sun salutation on the yoga mat, all for the purpose of a 'healthier' life. Although… the gym is always full of scary over-muscled men, the swimming pool is full of whining children and that yoga mat hasn't been used in so long that you don't even know where it is anymore. Fortunately, there is a solution for this; maybe all that sweat isn't necessary at all! From now on you won't crack your back, you'll crack your brain. It Cockroach Puzzle Workout introduces the Word Joke Puzzle Workout Method (WPWM for intimates). Laughter and puzzling are both very healthy and you don't even have to dig out those faded sports leggings!

Engineer and creative Wisse Beets and illustrator Merel Corduwener worked together on Puzzelwork-out. Corduwener's drawings of, for example, the 'Top 2000 leg' and the well-known 'Skiwi' introduce you to word joke puzzles, so that at the end of the five-step method you can solve a Word Joke Puzzle yourself. Okay, admittedly, that perfect one summer six pack the WPWM may not give you, but as Beets writes:

Is this a joke? Of course! And yet it is also serious. Because the combination of puzzling and laughing is really good for you.
