These presets form the basis of our own photo edits (you will undoubtedly recognize them from our Instagram page) and they ensure that your photos also get that warm and fresh look in one click.

• These Studio Pope presets are the starting point for all photo editing we do with Studio Pope. Both for our shoots for the clothing collections from the store, the family reports and ceremonies, and for our own family photos, nature photos and more experimental work. They are an extension of and support for the way we like to look at photography: from a curious eye without judgement, spontaneous as much as possible and with the encounter first! We find the emotional and intuitive to take precedence and the creation of atmosphere more important than a (technically) perfectly executed and well-thought-out picture.

• The pack consists of 4 presets:
  • RAY OF LIGHT: This is literally the lightest preset of the 3 color presets. In portrait photography, people are beautifully highlighted. The images become more expressive (with more contrast) and this is simultaneously combined and compensated with soft colors. This means your images never become flashy. Greens become a bit softer and blues become nice and intense. And finally, we also treat your photos to a small grain.
  • ROUGH RIDER: this adaptation is a bit darker and therefore extra atmospheric, a distinctly moody touch. The clearer and coarser grain ensure surprising photos! Sometimes this filter creates a dreamy feeling, other times it puts the rough edges in the spotlight. This preset is perfect for photos that do not focus on details, but require a warmer atmosphere!
  • LIKE MOVIE: this preset has its own character. Your images are immersed in a warm and spherical bath with deep colors. Just think of that hint of southern sun in your holiday photos! It satisfies the nostalgia for (old) analogue photography and the hunger for nostalgia.
  • BLACK & WHITE: this is the only black and white preset for now. It can be widely applied to very diverse images and seeks the balance between sufficient expression and contrast on the one hand and retains the details in the black tones and white tones on the other. We can therefore describe it as pronounced and soft. And let us at Studio Pope equally love the contradiction that is absolutely none.

• What is a preset?
  A preset (or preset in Dutch) is a collection of editing settings for your photos that you can apply in the post-processing program Adobe Lightroom. It is a combination of settings for exposure, contrast, color, etc. that gives your image(s). look and feel that we use at studio Pope. I have carefully selected and configured these for you, so that you can apply them to one or more of your images at once, with a simple push of a button.
  
  It also makes it possible to give your image library (and social media) a coherent look in a very quick and easy way.
  
  A footnote from the perfectionist photographer in me: as in life, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for post-processing. That is why we prefer to describe the presets as a solid basis or ideal starting point for your edits. Very often no other adjustments will be necessary and you can literally finish editing within a second. However, sometimes it will benefit your image to make a number of minor adjustments. If you adjust the temperature of your photo and/or the lighting a bit, you can really go a long way!
  
  Have you already mastered Lightroom and are you curious to search (and find) your own personal editing style? Then these presets can also provide you with a very good basis for this.
  
  We tested the various presets on a very diverse selection of images. This included holiday photos under a radiant (southern) sun, but also photos of forest walks on a rather rainy day. Landscapes, fun city street photography, portraits and more abstract images: they have all been enriched with the presets. This makes the presets really widely applicable and we know that they work on almost every photo!

• Which program do you need?
  Thanks to the freely downloadable Lightroom Mobile app, you can apply the presets. You can also go for Adobe Lightroom with a subscription (for desktop and mobile), but the premium paid features are certainly not necessary to get started!
