A natural sponge is, as the word describes, a sponge made by nature and not an artificially produced sponge. The sponge grows in the Mediterranean Sea at a depth of 10 to 80 meters. Here fishermen dive down and retrieve a small portion of the sponge, but leave the root of the natural sponge behind so that the sponge can continue to grow on the seabed. A natural sponge is hypoallergenic, incredibly durable and can have a long lifespan if you care for it properly and let it dry between uses. Because the sponge is 100% natural, it may vary in size and shape.
