This rough totem candlestick is hand-built and is a unique eye-catcher with a conical and closed holder for a candle of approximately 1.5 diameter. An elegant sculptural object made according to the art of embracing imperfection and inspiration.
Made from a mix of black sculpture clay and ash glaze, greige in color, the clay is quarried from the Belgian Ardennes. Baked at 1250°.
Each object is created through a slow and deeply intuitive creation process, which makes them unique and their dimensions can vary (up to 2 to 3 cm): approximately 12 cm high and 10 cm wide.
About the creator
Katya draws her inspiration from nature and everyday life.
She makes limited handmade ceramic objects between art and functionality. To look at, to be cherished, to be purified, to enjoy. Each piece is made by hand during a slow and deliberate process.
